Ancient Kauri With 24kt Gold Plating
The pen is handmade from Ancient Kauri. Kauri wood is yellowish white to golden brown. Kauri trees are among the most massive trees in the world in sheer volume rivaling great redwood trees. The harvesting of Kauri is tightly controlled. Ancient Kauri is simply a name for Kauri trees that have been harvested from salt marches and swamps in New Zeland's North Island. The massive trees are reported to be thousands of years old and preserved underground for 30,000 to 50,000 more years. The trees were buried with a seemingly violet and sudden force possibly in a large storm, tsunami, or flood. The bizarre circumstances leading to the Ancient Kauri's burial bears a striking similarity to many flood accounts of early civilizations. A Certificate of Wood Authenticity is included with your purchase. The pen hardware is 24kt gold plated with a black center band stripe.
