The bottle stopper is handmade from Bolivian Rosewood also known as Pau Ferro, Morado, or Santos Rosewood. Bolivian Rosewood color can vary highly ranging from reddish/orange to a dark violet brown usually with a contrasting darker black streaks and grows in tropical South America, mainly in Brazil and Bolivia. The stopper is chrome plated and has a tapered graduated silicone gasket that provides an air tight and leak resistant seal. The wood has a polyurethane finish to protect it from alcohol.
