The bottle stopper is handmade from Burmese Blackwood also known as Khamphi Rosewood or Laos Rosewood. The heartwood color is variable and ranges from a medium olive or reddish brown to a darker purplish brown frequently with nearly black streaks throughout and grows in Southeast Asia. The stopper is chrome plated and has a tapered graduated silicone gasket that provides an air tight and leak resistant seal. The wood has a polyurethane finish to protect it from alcohol.
