The pen is handmade from Stabilized Blue Dyed Buckeye Burl. Buckeye burls yield a very peculiar and highly figured wood prized for its beauty and rarity. The burl is injected under pressure with blue dye and resin to further enhance and stabilize the wood and is then sanded and polished to a glass like finish. The pen hardware is 24kt gold plated.

The Olympian Elite is a high-end pen with a decorative and elegant design. The pen has a stylish and rich appearance and balanced proportions ensure comfort while using the pen both with and without the cap posted. The pen is approximately 5 1/2" long capped and 6 3/8" long posted. The artistic fittings are hand worked and polished 3-D twisted rope bands and the solid metal external components add to the pens expensive and hardy feel. The Olympian Elite includes a German iridium tipped nib and includes both a siphon pump and blue ink cartridge. The pictured pen is the pen you will receive and is shipped USPS priority mail in a black velour with gold trim gift box usually within 24 hours of the order.
