Handmade Tycoon Flame Boxelder Fountain Pen with 24Kt Gold Plating
The pen is handmade from Flame Boxelder. The heartwood is a grayish/yellowish brown, frequently with red or pink streaks. The red stain is produced by the tree’s natural defenses when wounded—it is thought that this compound is meant to inhibit the growth of fungus that commonly colonizes the tree. Much of the reddish coloring (sometimes called “flame” ) becomes a more subdued pink or brown/gray upon drying. The wood is native to North America. The pen hardware is 24kt gold plated.

The Tycoon is simply a great looking pen. The pen features ultra smooth and durable threading, a regal design and striking facets on the fountain nib. The 24kt gold plating offers a bright pure gold plating that gives the pen a rich and luxurious look. The 24kt gold plating uses a premium process and is covered with an epoxy coating for an extremely durable surface. The pen is approximately 5 1/8" long capped and 6 1/8" long posted. The Tycoon includes a iridium tipped nib and includes both a siphon pump and blue ink cartridge.
