Kingwood with 24kt Gold Plating
The pen is handmade from Kingwood. Kingwood is dark purplish or reddish brown with darker black stripes and grows in Brazil. Considered a true Rosewood, Kingwood is among the densist and strongest of all Rosewoods. Kingwood supposedly got its name from several French kings (Louis XIV and Louis XV) that preferred the wood for use in fine furniture. The pen hardware is 24kt gold plated.
