Handmade Spalted Tamarind Cambridge Rollerball with Silver&Titanium Gold Plating
The pen is handmade from Stabilized Spalted Tamarind which is a beautiful wood from Southeast Asia much of which comes from logs found on the jungle floor and allowed to spalt in the very damp warm conditions of the jungle. The colors and the various line patterns are truly unique from one piece to another. Although originally from Africa, Tamarind has been planted worldwide for its fruit. The wood is injected under pressure with resin to further enhance and stabilize the wood and is then sanded and polished to a glass like finish. The pen hardware is silver and titanium gold plated.
The Cambridge is a high-end pen with classic styling and perfect balance. The Cambridge's exquisite crafting feels as good as it looks. Flawless proportions ensure comfort while using the pen both with and without the cap posted. The pen is approximately 5 1/2" long capped and 6 3/8" long posted. The sculptured fittings have been hand worked to produce a darker background against the hand polished representation of grapes and grape leaves, offering impressive contrast and complimenting the black enamel finish of the nib coupler, receiver, and finial. The Cambridge includes a Schmidt premium rollerball with a .6mm ceramic ball and stainless steel tip which allows ink to flow instantly and evenly. The pictured pen is the pen you will receive and is shipped USPS priority mail in a black velour with gold trim gift box usually within 24 hours of the order.
